types of counseling
Some people respond better to certain types of therapy than others. Together we can figure out what is the right mix for you.
Individual counseling

Individual counseling allows for privacy and personalized care. One-on-one therapy allows you and your counselor to go into more depth about your situation and go at the pace that feels right for you.
In-Person counseling

Sometimes the drive is worth the connection that is created with in-person counseling. Our office is located in Richardson just minutes from I-75.
virtual counseling

Telehealth offers a convenient and health conscious option for therapy. Online counseling is provided through a secure and HIPPA compliant video service. Please ensure you have access to a computer, Wi-Fi, and a private area for sessions.
EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that allows people to heal after difficult life experiences, often at an accelerated rate. The brain stores these difficult experiences in memory networks. Anytime something happens that reminds the brain of the experience, the memory network starts firing, and all of the thoughts, emotions, and body sensations come flooding back. The goal of EMDR is to stop this from happening.
cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt)

Sometimes when we are stressed we develop unhelpful thoughts or behaviors such as negative self-talk, unrealistic expectations of ourselves, mindless scrolling, or unhealthy sleep patterns. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) helps you identify and then break those thoughts and behaviors and replace them with healthier and more productive ones.
cognitive behavioral therapy - Insomnia (cbt-I)

Research shows that most Americans do not get adequate sleep. This can lead to a multitude of physical and mental health issues. Simple sleep hygiene behavioral changes can help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. 70-80% of individuals who complete CBT-I experience significant improvements in sleep quality and duration
